Week of WWE Wrestling: 10/25/2009 to 10/31/2009
Sunday the 25th marked the very first WWE Bragging Rights, and team Smackdown walking out with bragging rights for the year. To me, I am surprised by this. The reasons is, I called that Smackdown would win the “bragging rights” at the pay-per-view, and two, that WWE would let Smackdown be the number one show for the next year. The thing why it shocked me is, I thought Triple H and Shawn Michaels would definitely want to win and keep the trophy for themselves.
But one of the coolest things that I enjoyed out of the whole storyline coming out of Bragging Rights is Big Show turning on his team, Team Raw, to help out Team Smackdown, in the 14-man tag team match. Why did I enjoy that? That is also bringing tension between my favorite tag team, the team of Jerishow. And both men, the Unified World Tag Team Champions, are even getting a World Heavyweight Championship match at Survivor Series against the Undertaker.
And seeing the No-Disqualification Lumberjack match on Raw with the Big Show against Triple H with John Cena as the ref, I really enjoyed the match. The reason why I enjoyed the match is seeing everyone being “angry” with the 7-foot almost 500 pound giant “costing them” the rights to brag over Smackdown over the year and helping Triple H defeat him in a match. I feel like, if WWE Creative can do this right, could be a great storyline and a great angle.
But would that happen? I’ll be surprised. Reason why I’ll be surprised if WWE does something right with the storyline because it’s the WWE, they don’t like to have their storylines to make sense and be logical. Look at my last week-in-review to look my thoughts on WWE logic.
But anyways, to conclude, this is Eric Darsie from Minnesota, hoping that the WWE will do something right with this storyline, goodbye!
